We celebrated the Swiss Onion Fest here yesterday, and from the first bite to the last note played by The Ancient Ruins, it was nothing short of magical. The ambiance is electric, perfectly balancing elegance and warmth--a place where you feel right at home but also treated to something extraordinary. The food? Absolutely phenomenal! Each dish was crafted with incredible care, bursting with fresh flavors, and presented beautifully. Sir John and his Team's commitment to the highest quality is evident in every bite and every detail of the experience. And the service truly goes above and beyond. When we asked for coffee, Sir John himself started up the cappuccino machine just for us--one of those thoughtful touches that made us feel like cherished guests. I'd driven by this place literally hundreds of times over the decades, but finally gave it a shot today. Not much in terms of ambiance and the menu is mostly your basic Italian red sauce-based plates, but it was really good. I had the shrimp parmigiana and my friend had the eggplant parm. Free sides that come with entrees are generously-sized (pasta, salad, or veggie - I had escarole w garlic and oil), and prices are as old school as their dining room and bar. Worth checking out.

The establishment is family owned. The food is great. The service is great, too. There is plenty of parking. There is space for a private party that is separate from the restaurant.

Really authentic old school Italian restaurant. We've been there several times and the meals have been outstanding every time... Best Chicken Parm ever, delish linguine with sautéed shrimp. Prices are very reasonable, plenty of parking and very welcoming and gracious family owners, highly recommend!

So great! We had a family get together recently with a lot of food and a lot of people. The owners and staff are so accommodating and sweet and the food is delicious. Don't sleep on Sir John's!

Honestly.....I'm not sure why I haven't reviewed Sir John's on yelp yet, maybe because we always consistently have great meals here and locals know it's a great restaurant?? Maybe because I know I have so many good things to say? This is going to be a bit long... so here it goes!! I grew up in Valhalla and was raised going to this restaurant with my family and friends family it has always been a one of the Italian restaurants we all went to for a great meal. I no longer live up in Westchester, I've been living out of state for a number of years. Even when I got married, 17 years ago I wasn't living in NY but I still did my rehearsal dinner here, as well as my brother doing his rehearsal dinner here. We've also had several celebrations of life for my Grandmother and my parents. This past weekend we celebrated a Christening, I helped my brother and wife plan the party. Once again , John and his staff did not disappoint! The food was fantastic, appetizers were first followed by the supreme buffet, everything served tasted great! Penne ala vodka, chicken francese,scarpariello, sausage and peppers roasted potatoes were all fantastic. Party goers went up 2 and 3 times! If you are ever looking for a venue for a party, I highly recommend John and his staff! Great party, great food and the fairest prices around!

We've been orbiting Sir John's in North White Plains for the last 21 yrs without stepping foot in here until one exhaustive Friday evening. There's a Bar+ Lounge area used for gatherings/wedding receptions like the one taking place when we came here and a smaller dining room to the left which was a damn hot mess that doubled as a catch-all for coats, plastic bags, etc from the wedding party. The unavoidable mozzarella cheese sticks+sauce we ordered were ok. My Rosé was crisp and enjoyable and hubs liked his Rum & Coke. My Fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp add-on was tasty and interesting- just because the Alfredo sauce was loose compared to what I'm used to elsewhere. Still good. Hubs liked his Chicken Parm with the cheese nice and brown the way he likes it. Our garlic+oil Broccoli was a terrific side. We were satisfied with the meal. Heck, we were so full that I bypassed dessert. We were given a boatload of Italian cookies (tasty, actually) and ended taking the rest home. Our server Barbara, was quick on her feet and a charm. Kudos to this spot not far off from Kensico Dam for offering a house salad with fresh- not wilted, spinach+greens. Strip mall or not, Sir John's has that old-fashioned Italian comfort food at inexpensive prices. Don't completely rule this one out because of their middle-level rating. We didn't- and dinner turned out good.

This restaurant is excellent. The owner and staff are great and friendly. I highly recommend the eggplant parmigiana.

We stopped here coming from the Westchester airport. Owner was so personable and the food was delicious. Sat with us gave us brushetta that was delicious and delicious pastries. You must come here and enjoy authentic Italian food. Denise B
